Parcel Policy
Lost, delayed and damaged parcel guidelines
Liability
ParcelGH is a booking platform that connects senders with transport carriers. Once a parcel is handed over to a carrier at their terminal, the carrier assumes full responsibility for its safe and timely delivery.
ParcelGH is not liable for loss, damage, or delay caused by the carrier. However, we will actively assist in resolving any dispute between you and the carrier.
Delayed Parcels
A parcel is considered delayed if it has not arrived within 48 hours of the scheduled delivery date.
- 1.Contact us on WhatsApp with your tracking code — we will follow up with the carrier immediately.
- 2.The carrier is required to provide a status update or arrange redelivery within 24 hours of being notified.
- 3.If the carrier fails to respond or resolve the delay, ParcelGH will escalate and issue a formal complaint on your behalf.
Lost Parcels
A parcel is considered lost if there has been no status update for 7 days after the scheduled delivery date.
Without Insurance
- Full refund of the ParcelGH service charge
- ParcelGH will mediate with the carrier on your behalf
- Carrier is liable for the value of the parcel under their own terms
With Insurance
- Full refund of the ParcelGH service charge
- Compensation up to the declared value of the parcel
- Maximum compensation capped at GHC 500
- Claim must be filed within 14 days of the scheduled delivery date
Damaged Parcels
If your parcel arrives damaged, you must report it immediately at the terminal before leaving. Damage reported after collection cannot be verified and may not be eligible for compensation.
The carrier is responsible for damage that occurs during transit. ParcelGH will mediate the claim. Parcels with insurance are eligible for compensation up to the declared value (capped at GHC 500).
Prohibited Items
The following items are strictly prohibited on all ParcelGH shipments:
- Illegal drugs and narcotics
- Firearms and ammunition
- Explosives and flammables
- Cash exceeding GHC 10,000
